Cambridge, home of punting "but it don't get much better than this".
The Choir with Kings College in the Background.
Monday 21st July 2008
Today, on our last day in Bath, we had an early breakfast and in no time whatsoever we were on the road and heading to Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where we will be staying for two nights. We were on the road for roughly 4 and a quarter hours. That included a toilet stop and a lunch stop. We played games in the park for a bit to release 3 hours of being cramped in a bus together. Then we were back on the road and for some reason we skimmed the outside of London to get to Cambridge. When we got there we went to Corpus Christi College, Newnham House, where students going to University go to study, rest and just be close to the school. We then went to Kings College Cathedral and sang once the Cathedral had shut so we could hear the acoustics.

Today we went to have breakfast at Christi College’s dinning hall where some of the students (probably boarders) came to have breakfast in far greater numbers than ours. Afterwards we went on a detour around the river where we found a punt and canoe hire place. It came down to a vote, either we went punting or we didn’t - the vote went in favour of punting but everyone who said 'no' to punting enjoyed it just as much as the rest of us. Some punters zig-zaged down the river, some thought it would be best to push their pole into the ground and get it entangled in the overhead branches.
Afterwards each group went their own way until after Lunch, because Mr Law, the law told us we all had to have a couple of hours sleep. Some did and some didn’t. One and a quarter hours before the service, we went to have a practice for the service. After the service we went and had dinner at the Christi College Dining hall.
