Today we traveled from Hereford to Chichester where we were staying at the Premier Inn. We could go to the Service, which was being sung by the men, or stay and play. Most decided to stay because they were to tired to do anything but play and sleep. We went to dinner at the Premier Inn.
Saturday 2nd August 2008
Today we headed over to the H.M.S. Victory. This ship is the oldest commissioned warship in the world and it’s also the sixth ship to bear the name H.M.S. Victory. It was laid down on the 23rd July 1759, launched on the 7th May 1765. It was built at Chatham Dockyard in Kent and housed a crew of 850 (821 at Trafalgar). Then it was back to the Cathedral to sing the Service.
Sunday 3rd August 2008
Today we went to the morning service. It was very tiring. We had a service at 10:00am which took 55 minutes then we had only 5 minutes before the next service at 11:00am. It was a big rush to run up the stairs to get our music and then get back down. Afterwards we walked around the shops buying things, if we had to or wanted to. Then we went back to have another service (THREE SERVICES)!!!
