The Roman baths and since we couldn't go swimming in the baths we went swimming in the Public swimming pool.

The boys in Bath!

Bath!

Friday 18th July 2008

Today we went to the famous Roman Baths in Bath.  They are the most historic and the most amazing things that I think the Choir has seen. There were dozens of areas where the pools were and one was a room with a holographic projection on the wall.  If at the same time you notice the water,  you see what appears to be ripples but the effect is produced by coins on the bottom.  Since we weren’t allowed to go swimming in the Roman Baths,  we decided to have our lunch in the park and go for a swim in the swimming pools instead.  At about 5:00pm we started to head back to the Youth Hostel.

Saturday 19th July 2008

Today we went for an enormous walk from the Hostel and walked all the way down to the Abbey then up a big hill to the Circus.  The Circus is a circle of houses with trees in the middle around the Royal Crescent.  The Royal Crescent is made of houses arranged in the shape of a crescent moon.  It is an extremely intriguing design.  We then went back down to the park for lunch and back to the Abbey to practice for Evensong.

Sunday 20th July 2008

Today we had two services. The first one was the Eucharist at 11:00am. In between the services we went and had lunch at the park again for the last time,  We all ran around, well most of us did.  Then we went to Putney Bridge, which is one of three bridges that have shops on both sides of the Bridge. There was a shop on the corner which was filled with Paddington Bears and much, much, MUCH more!   At 3:30pm we had the Evensong service then we went back to the Hostel to play games.
